Is it possible to view external reference files (xref) on S-View on Palm?
S-View both versiona 1.7.1 and 1.8 do not directly support AutoCAD xref. We are planning to include xref support into the subsequent S-View releases. Here is how to view xref files on your S-View versions 1.7.1 or 1.8 on Palm
- Combine your all or some of xref files into a single file using AutoCAD functionality allowing to combine several xref drawings into a single drawing. Here are the steps to do so
- open your top-level drowing (the one that contains xref) in AutoCAD
- go to Insert --> Xref Manager
- in the Xref Manager window the list of xref files referenced to in the top-level drawing should show up. Select all or some of the files from the list, click Bind
- select Bind or Insert option, click OK - you should receive a combined drawing containing top-level drawing with the selected xref drawings included
- Save the combined file in the DXF format
- Using S-View on PC convert the file into the PDB format. Export the PDB file to your Palm device
You can view the drawing that contains selected xref files on your S-View on Palm.
